Pripyat is an excursion object that allows you to see the great river in its current form and feel the indissoluble connection of times. Smooth curves of the riverbed, a mirror surface reflecting the sky and coastal thickets, golden sandbanks and green islands of floodplain meadows create unique landscapes. Along the banks alternate shady groves of oak forests and open spaces where grass sways and birds circle.
The route provides an opportunity to experience how the river still remains a source of life for Polesie: it feeds forests, swamps and meadows, provides habitat for many species, and supports land fertility. Especially impressive are the sunsets, when the water and trees are painted in warm amber tones. These views help to understand why Pripyat has been revered since ancient times as the vital artery of the region, around which a unique ecosystem of the Belarusian Polesie has developed.
