Kayaking «Stviga light» will give you a fascinating journey along one of the most picturesque and untouched rivers in Polesie – the mysterious Stviga. This wild, deserted river is fascinating at first sight: its dark waters slowly carry kayaks through a kaleidoscope of colorful landscapes, where each turn reveals a new picture of pristine nature.

The route starts at a wooden bridge behind the village of Richev, and immediately before you appear the first touches of this natural canvas: sandbanks, as if carved by time, steep banks, crowned with majestic oaks, slender pines and white–trunked birches. The water reflects the canopy of trees, creating a play of light and shadow, and the silence is broken only by the singing of birds and the lapping of waves on the side of the kayak.

Along the way, you will be able to observe the life of wildlife: perhaps you will notice the slow marsh turtles basking in the sun, or you will see the rapid flight of a kingfisher over the water. Black storks soar in the sky, sandpipers scurry along the shore, and shorebird swallows nest in the steep slopes – each inhabitant of this river contributes its own note to the symphony of Polesie.

When the water level is high, the route offers a special gift – the opportunity to look into the picturesque forest old trees and lakes. Here, in the secluded backwaters, you can fly between the mirror surface and the coastal thickets to fully experience the magic of these places.
