Kayaking «Wild Skripitsa» is an invitation to the world of unspoilt nature, where the river becomes a guide to the realm of silence and pristine beauty. The winding Skripitsa, full of exuberant power in spring and almost shyly hiding in summer, holds the spirit of a real wild river – one that is familiar only to animals and feathered inhabitants of these places.
From the first meters of the way, you will feel the special mood of the route: the hard–to–reach banks, almost inaccessible in flood, breathe freedom and privacy. Here, in the secluded backwaters and quiet bays, life is in full swing – beavers, the true owners of these waters, have built entire settlements from dams and huts, turning the river bends into miniature hydraulic wonders.
Landscapes follow each other like a slow – motion nature movie: first, flooded floodplain meadows, where the mirror surface reflects the sky, then – clear shallow lakes with a sandy bottom, through which you can see every pebble and blade of grass. A little further on, the path runs through oak forests, and then through green mazes of dense thickets, where the water winds through the bushes, as if looking for a way out of a natural quest.
The nine-kilometer stretch along Skripitsa ends with access to the wide, rapid Pripyat River, which impresses with its scale and power. For another 3.5 km, you will glide through its waters, feeling the rhythm of the journey change: the quiet intimacy of the small river is replaced by the majestic expanse of the great waterway.
This route is not just a rafting trip, but a dive into the heart of Polessky nature, where every turn opens up a new world, and every detail reminds us that here, far from the hustle and bustle, nature lives by its own laws, and we are given a rare opportunity to become its silent witnesses.
The water route is conducted only with a guide on different routes depending on the water level.
