Nature Museum is the youngest museum in Belarus with an ecological orientation, the main task is to promote the principles of nature protection and form an ecological worldview; preserve and popularize the traditional culture of Polesie.
For this purpose, the Nature Museum has six thematic halls. The geological exposition is located in the lobby of the museum. Here is a diagram of the consolidated section of the Turov geological well.
Archeology Hall. On the stands – archaeological finds from the Pripyat settlements.
History Hall. The exhibition is dedicated to the history of the creation and development of the Pripyatsky National Park, which covers an area of about 200 thousand hectares. It has the international status of a key ornithological territory.
The Nature Hall is decorated with dioramas, stuffed animals, and art paintings.
Ethnography hall. The basis of the exhibition is an imitation of a typical Poleshuk dwelling in the XIX century. Here you can find authentic household s: spinning wheels, fishing gear, carpets with embroidery, blacksmith’s tools, etc.
Waterways Hall. At the entrance, right at the feet of visitors, a map of Polesie waterways unfolds.
