When the river overflows its banks, its waters spread for many kilometers, turning the floodplain into an endless expanse of water. Floodplain forests are half submerged, and only a few islands of dry grasslands remain above the surface, like tiny islands in a vast sea.

It is these islands that become vital nesting sites for numerous waders and other wetlands birds. Here you can watch the birds build their nests, feed their chicks and guard their offspring vigilantly – a real living laboratory of nature, where every season the drama of continuing life unfolds with a bird’s polyphony.
