Trophy bull moose hunting takes place from August 20th to October 1st. This period coincides with the rutting season.

The animals move extensively in search of a mate and maintain territories. They mark their territories with slashes and marks, and also make moaning sounds.

Hunts are primarily conducted at sunset and sunrise, capturing the twilight hours, using stalking and ambush techniques. Hunting takes place in clearings, swamps, floodplain meadows, and near salt licks in the “Barsuki” experimental forest hunting farm.
