Hunting for trophy male roe deer takes place from May 15 to October 1. This period coincides with the rutting season.

The animals move around a lot in search of a mate and maintain territorial control.

Hunting is primarily conducted in the morning and evening hours, using stalking and ambush techniques, including the use of decoys. Hunting takes place in the open areas of the «Barsuki» experimental forest hunting farm and the «Berezina» hunting farm.
